Volunteer project "Creciendo Juntos"

Volunteer in the Bolivian jungle helping children receive education, medical assistance and food

Fees

There is a standard fee for each and every volunteer we receive no matter how skilled or unskilled they may be and regardless of whether they wish to have Spanish classes or not. The first week is 800 Bolivianos (+/- US$100) per volunteer and it goes down to 450 Bolivianos (+/- US$55) for each week thereafter. This covers basic accommodation (for your full stay) in the Foundation and three meals a day (Monday-Friday). If you would rather stay at Hostal Villa Tunari which is a short walk or taxi-ride away, the first week is 700 Bolivianos per volunteer and for each week thereafter it goes down to 450 Bolivianos. You will cover your own accommodation costs if you stay at Hostal Villa Tunari but the three meals a day are still included in the price you pay.

This fee goes towards covering the costs of keeping the Foundation (including your accommodation), paying wages of our local latrine builders, latrine supplies, food and other necessary supplies. The Foundation has basic dormitory style double and triple rooms on site.  Facilities at the Foundation are shared.

The Volunteer Project has been up and running for just over a year but has already built a new septic system for the school, taken leading roles in building a new kitchen and new classroom in the Foundation and started to work directly in the communities by initiating a latrines program to promote better sanitation and reduce parasite-related illnesses. This does not take into account the thousands of man-hours given freely to ensure the Foundation stays up and running and open to 130 children and their families.
